- Donky Kong was the first arcade game to feature Nintendo's iconic Mario.
- Super Mario Bros. sold over 40,000,000 copies according to the 1999 Guinness Book of World Records.
- My oldest brother was a huge fan of Frogger.
- Lode Runner came with 150 levels, but also was the first major title to allow you to create your own custom levels. I spent hours building nearly-impossible levels, much to the chagrin of my friends and family.
- I would create Floppy levels that would take up to an hour to solve. I found a place where you can play the original "Flappy" online for free!
- Tetris was the first puzzle game to gain popularity in the arcades of the mid-1980s.
- Web-based Bejeweled followed in the same vein, bringing arcade-type puzzle games to the personal computer.
